Overview
The Town retains associates and consultants on an on-call basis. A two-year term for the Town Attorney and Municipal Judge runs concurrent with the regular municipal elections.

Town Attorney
The Town Attorney is retained at a hourly rate to advise and represent the Town with regard to legal matters and municipal court procedures. The current Town Attorney is Stephen Carter, Carter & Sands, P.C.

Municipal Judge
The Municipal Judge or Associate Judge presides over court once a month and any requested jury trials in the Town Hall Council Chambers. The current Municipal Judge is Care McInnis.

Town Engineer
The Town Engineer reviews land use issues, proposed capital construction projects and maintenance to existing facilities. Much of the cost related to land use is reimbursable by the applicant. The current Town Engineer is Mark Austin, Austin Civil Group.

Planning Consultants
The Town utilizes the services of planning consultants for land use issues, planning for future growth, development of capital projects, and budgetary advice. Much of the cost related to land use is reimbursable by the applicant.
